Press release from the City of Hermosa Beach: 11/11/2021 The City has started its annual tree trimming program, which begins November 15 and will last through the end of February. What to Expect Downtown tree trimming will begin November 15, and last through November 30. The working hours will be 8 a .m. and 12 p.m., intended to avoid peak travel times. Tree trimming will start on Hermosa Ave from 10th to 14th. Pier Plaza will be next. Then, the City will move on to the trees along Pier Ave., starting at Valley Dr. and heading west Work will include trees in medians and parkways. A through lane of traffic will be maintained at all times but delays and rerouting of traffic may be necessary at times Parking may be restricted in certain areas. No Parking notices will be installed 72 hours in advance. Impacts could include: traffic delays due to vehicles working in the street; noise and dust; minimal dust and smells.
