Morning, neighbors! It's me again, Ash DeMello, your host of the Beaverton Daily for this lovely Fri-yay. First, today's weather: Rain of varying rates. High: 60 Low: 49. Here are the top stories today in Beaverton: You don't have to look very far to find an excellent school if you have a middle schooler in your family. The International School of Beaverton ranks among the top middle schools in all of Oregon, according to U.S. News & World Report. Other nearby winners include Aloha-Huber Park, Cedar Park and Stoller. Folks-in-the-know out of Cornelius say our libraries could be even more awesome as they call on Washington County for fair library funding, according to reporter Dillon Mullan. Cornelius librarians commissioned a report that found that Cornelius receives $34 per capita in funding from the county, compared to $77 per capita for West Slope. The findings are especially compelling given findings that the majority of Cornelius users are Hispanic, which is decidedly not the case at the West Slope location.
