Close-out work (raising utilities and striping) continues this week and next on 5th Street between L Street and Pole Line Rd. Please watch for flaggers and lane shifts.
The new striping includes the pilot addition of a bike lane and reduces the vehicular travel lanes from two lanes to one lane. The City's General Plan and Bike Master Plan have long called for a bike lane on this stretch of 5th Street. Further study of the corridor and the bike lane addition will begin in early 2022 to look at potential improvements.
