Description
Press release from the City of Alameda:
November 10, 2021
As the new national data collection standard, NIBRS captures specific details for victims, known offenders, relationships between victims and offenders, arrestees, property, and drugs involved in crimes. This data is collected for up to 10 offenses within an incident, representing a substantial shift in how crime is currently reported in the City of Alameda.
The Alameda Police Department is making it a priority to do our part by supporting the national transition to NIBRS and began reporting NIBRS-compliant crime data to the California Department of Justice for submission to the FBI on November 9, 2021.
