For the 1st time in almost 3 yrs of being homeless and over 7 months in a shelter, I am finally getting my own place and a chance to start over. Its not a big place or even a very nice place, but it's mine and I'm eternally grateful to have it. And with that being said, I'm looking to see if anyone has a TV they are looking to get rid of and maybe a gaming console they are willing to let go of. I am getting some furniture donated, just not a TV..and well a gaming console and some games would be cool to pass some time. I'm going to be getting back to work in the next couple months after I heal up from ankle and leg surgery, so while I'm waiting for that, it would be nice to pass the time since I don't drink or do drugs. The new place will be kinda boring since I don't want to just stare at the walls for hours at a time. I probably won't have internet access, cuz well, that costs too much right now. And unfortunately I won't be able to pick up, no car (yet), so it would need to be delivered, if it can't be delivered than I will try and figure something out if I can. Yes, I am asking for a lot, and I would be so thankful for any help with starting my life over. I'm located in Silver Spring, not far from the train station. I am 100% vaccinated and I get tested every week in the shelter..but I will take precautions and wear a mask just to be safe. Please don't flag this for removal (again)...this is not a scam.
