Description
We are looking to hire an Import Clerk to join our team in Otay Mesa, CA. You will serve as a point of contact for Importer/Exporter coordinating International shipments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Arranges for pick-up/delivery of cargo per consignee's request.
• Proper Classification of merchandise utilizing the HTS by applying GRI’s.
• Preparation and submission of Entry Summaries to CBP
• Preparation of Inbond Entries to CBP
• Coordinates the release of goods with carriers, CBP, and other governmental agencies as required.
• Responds accurately and timely to (FTL) & (LCL) shipments to avoid demurrage.
• Performs accurate and timely billing to customers.
• Communicates shipment status to team members and clients.
• Provides outstanding customer service & communicates effectively via email and telephone to customer s, vendors and co-workers to resolve questions and concerns.
• Maintains strong and effective relationships with vendors (shipping lines, trucking companies, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
100% Bilingual in Spanish/English (written/oral)
Computer Literate
Able to multi-task
Detailed oriented.
