This dog recently bit and caused injury to an individual. The bite was reactionary in nature (happened because he was woken up unexpectedly). The dog has shown no signs of outward aggression, however due to expecting small children in my home, I can no longer keep him. The prospective owner must understand the risk involved with taking in a dog that has bitten in the past.
The dogs name is Luke. He is a 5 year old lab pit mix. He is neutered. His vaccination history is unknown.
Luke is house trained and doggy door trained. He knows multiple commands such as sit, stay, come, shake, lie down, bring your toy, drop it, and leave it. You can drop a treat in front of him and he will not act on it unless given permission. He is very smart, obedient, loyal, and affectionate.
Luke does not dig, is not destructive, and does not run away. On different occasions Luke spent hours alone outside the house and did not leave the front lawn.
Ideally I think he would thrive in a ranch or farm setting. He would also make a great guard dog as he does protect his home and warns with barks. Please contact if interested.
