Essential Duties & Responsibilities – Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair balers, compactors, tippers, conveyors, etc., equipment install/removal, fabrication, etc. Qualifications/Experience – Welding/fabricating, Mechanics, Hydraulics, Electrical/control wiring, Work with industrial equipment, rigging, forklift operation. All qualifications/experience preferred but not required. Valid drivers license with good driving record. Other Duties & Responsibilities – General shop work, steel fabrication, keep track of time on work orders Personal Protection Equipment – Employee supplies appropriate work boots and appropriate shop clothing (denim jeans, long sleeve cotton shirts, ets.). Company provides other necessary PPE. Dress Code – Dress to work in the shop. Coveralls provided. Language Requirements – Proficient English Background/Drug Screening Requirements – At employers discretion. Training Provided – On the job training for equipment. Seminars available from our manufacturers specific to their equipment. Training Required – High school diploma preferred. Working knowledge of most of items listed in Qualifications/Experience. Essential Functions: The Service Technician will be capable of equipment installation, troubleshooting, repairs, service and general steel fabrication in the field and at shop. Supervision Required: The position will be supervised by the Operations Manager and General Manager. Most of the work will be done independently and with minimal supervision in the field and at shop. Scope and Impact: The position will have a level of autonomy during a particular job, to make decisions that are in the best interest of our customer and PCI, within a certain parameter. Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge Required: Experience as a mechanic, welder/fabricator, electrician and working knowledge of hydraulics is extremely helpful. Ability to learn all of these skills is required. Must be punctual, dependable, willing to work with a team, able to accept constructive direction, organized and have own hand tools. This position will be required to work in a shop, warehouse or in the field. Long periods of standing, bending, sitting, squatting and walking will be present. Must be proficient at operating a forklift. Occasionally lifts items in excess of 50 pounds.
