Established in 1923, Alexander Gow Fire Equipment Company is a local, family owned company specializing in fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and fire alarms. We are hiring a Fire Extinguisher Technician to work out of our Ballard office. Our hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Our Fire Extinguisher Technicians are responsible for visiting our customers around the Puget Sound Area and performing inspections on their fire equipment. We’re looking for applicants who are organized, can keep good records, and are able to interact with our customers in a courteous and professional manner. Our business relies heavily on technology, including Service Trade and Building Reports, so the ability to adapt to and learn new technology is a requirement. A current Seattle Fire Dept FEX-1 certification and knowledge of NFPA and applicable fire extinguisher codes is preferred, but training is available for candidates with a willingness to learn.
