MISSION The mission for this position is to conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components to keep our amazing sustainable food operations in optimal uptime. Family owned since 1985, Stahlbush Island Farms is an environmentally friendly farm and food processor in Corvallis, Oregon. We grow high quality foods using innovative farming practices. We even make our own electricity! Our biogas plant, the first of its kind in the U.S., converts all of our agricultural waste into electricity, generating twice the amount that we need to run the farm. OREGON STATE ONLY RECIPROCATES WITH: IDAHO, UTAH, MONTANA ARKANSAS, WYOMING AND MAINE OUTCOMES - LME Electrician Equipment maintenance and repair Diagnose problems, codes, execute necessary repairs Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs Perform mechanic skills including, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required repairs, maintenance and service Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor Provide routine information to and solicit situation specific information company wide from employees, managers and external relationships and general inquiries QUALIFICATIONS - LME Electrician Three to five years' experience Oregon LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) or an Journeyman's Electrical License required Strong troubleshooting in electrical and mechanical skills required Ability to operate independently within defined parameters with little or no supervision Safety and security-aware for self and others Additional degrees or certifications in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred Food processing industry experience preferred NH3 refrigeration experience a preferred
