Description
Aggie is a black and white pit bull mix, with possible border collie or heeler in her. She is just over 1 year old and has been living in a wonderful foster home. Her foster mom reports that Aggie is a sweet girl who loves to cuddle. She is house trained to a dog door and has not been destructive in the home when left alone. Aggie would do well in a multi-dog home, since she has been in numerous successful playgroups with other dogs at the shelter and gets along well with the three dogs in her foster home. Aggie has shown a lot of herding behaviors while in her foster home, which speaks to the possibility of border collie or heeler in her genetics. Aggie can sometimes be excitable and have a lack of manners. She can also get mouthy in an attempt to engage and continued training would be needed to help her improve her impulse control. Fortunately, she has made great progress in this area with her foster mom's excellent training. Aggie is very loving and is happiest hanging out with her foster mom on the couch and bed. She loves people in general but her high energy may be too much for small children; older kids should be fine. Her foster mom will be happy to work with her new owners for a smooth transition. This is a sweet, smart and easy to train gal, who does best when she knows whats expected of her. Aggie is Jackson County Animal Shelter dog.
