Job description We are looking for a nanny/household manager in Northampton, MA! We are looking for an organized, high-energy, detail-oriented nanny to manage our 2 children's (ages 5/7) busy schedules. The nanny will facilitate both children’s schedules and extracurricular activities and keep the kids active outside when possible. It is important that the nanny be a strong leader who can motivate the kids in a fun way. They will need to make sure each child is where they need to be when they need to be there in addition to prepping for school/activities. A proficient multitasker is a must! We are looking for someone to become part of our family. Responsibilities include full childcare when the kids are not in school, pickups/drop-offs at school and activities (family car provided), running errands, load/unloading the dishwasher, laundry for the kids, occasional cooking for the kids, and light cleanup and organization of kid’s belongings, as necessary. There is a weekly house cleaner. The ideal candidate is very organized, very responsible, and can be flexible when necessary. Prior teaching experience is a bonus. Reliability and timeliness are very important. The family is looking for someone who has experience running a household with two full-time working parents, outside the home. A family vehicle with installed car seats is provided for the nanny's use with the children. Compensation: negotiable based on experience with guaranteed hours weekly and benefits. Notes: Family has a small dog. Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7am-6pm with some flexibility. · Must have some flexibility to stay late occasionally due to parent work schedules. · You will be paid overtime (time and a half) for any hours over 40 each week. Must-Have: Previous Nanny Experience is a plus. Nanny must have excellent references. Clean background check and driving record. CPR & First-Aid certification, or willing to take the certification course. Reliable personal vehicle to get to and from their home for work. Non-smokers only, please. Valid driver’s License Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 5 sick days, most holidays off. · Family is open to discussion for health insurance.
