Description
this sweet girl is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. approx. 1-2 years old, so still young. she also has one blue and one brown eye - they are gorgeous! $100 rehome fee to ensure she goes to someone who is serious about wanting her. a little about "morro": we adopted her about a month ago from kent county animal shelter. they said she had been a stray and no other info on her history. when we got her she was completely untrained, and in only a month's time she now is potty-trained inside the house and even overnight, knows "sit" and "leave it" and has been taken off leash at the Ravines dog park and roamed on my parents unfenced 13 acres in NC.. she has recall and follows along well. this is amazing, especially for her breed! she has no aggressive tendencies whatsoever, towards small children or other dogs. she has warmed up to us so wonderfully and we will miss her, but between us working several jobs and having a very small yard, we just don't have the capacity to give her what she deserves. the inconveniences we have had with her are that she pulls the leash when walking and that she seems to disregard her potty training when we leave her alone in a break room at work - however we once left her and our other dog alone at our home for a few hours one night and she did not have accidents. she also has a strong drive to chase prey and the only times we have had to chase her down were when she was chasing rabbits etc. I don't recommend a home with cats or other small prey like animals. an ideal home for her would be one with a decent sized fenced in yard - she loves to play with other dogs so if you have dogs already that is a bonus! also someone who can be patient while she continues to learn and has a safe place to keep her while you are away. this is a really good dog and would make a really sweet and loyal companion to the right owner. we have the option to return her to the shelter but don't want her to revert on her training, and we care too much about her already to send her back to a confined kennel. so we will keep her until the right match comes along.
