Global warming is still the "cry" of the Socialist and Democratic party I've posted that if these groups are so worried, why don't they "Stop" driving their cars? isn't that the foundation of global warming. Next Gun control The democratic party has been beating the 2nd amendment to death The law is to protect us the citizen to thwart the Governemtn from become a Communist or Fascist regime The main stream news media use the word "Assault" weapon when describing fire arms a person might own There is no such item that the general public can buy.. each weapon must have the trigger pulled for each shot fired. Now even though I am a gun owner, I don't think it's necessary, to have a 20 rd magazine in my weapon. so outlaw them. and there are other item that could be outlawed that would not infringe on the 2nd amendment. What I would support is the banning of all import of guns and ammunition. It is strange to me that countries that do not allow their citizens to have fire arms, are just fine with fire arm business's selling those weapons to the US. And I mean all products that have to do with firearms except for scoops.. About global warming, exclude the import of all Vehicles with v8 or larger engines, exclude the import of vehicles with turbo or supercharged engines.. I know they are fun and I'm a car guy, but if most of these country are worried about global warming, its a place to start. I would increase the the gas guzzler tax.. $2000 is low for a car that is still getting 14 mpg again I'm a car guy I have cars with big engines that are older.. and I don't usually drive them except for a car show now and then... For a side note, back in 1950 a Ford 4dr sedan could seat 6 people, carry a lot of goods in the trunk and get 20mpg... find a car today that could do that. Another item is the age to drive, here in Calif it is 18 yo.. over the last decade or so the "State" has started making Bicycle lanes, increased the bus routes and increased bus service. I think raising the driving age to 20 or 21 would get younger people into the bike or bus system. Besides the fact that both car payments and insurance is out of site, how can young people save any money, not to mention repair costs... I remember when the Federal government started getting more involved, the third stop light, after about two years the accident rate was back up... there was the gas shortage, but the "Feds" insisted on 5mph bumpers... the one on my 1977 Ranchero weighed about 200LB I know I took it off...really in today's car 5mph bumpers mean the car would be totaled. and they made the cars look ugly. One more thing, today electric vehicles are growing in number, I'm all for them, but Damn if I want to subsidies rich people to buy them.. those 60, 70, dollar Tessla's were getting a 7K dollar gov. subsidy.. And this from the party that bitches about the rich... yet the riches of Americans for some reason are Democrats... go figure... Do as I say not as I do!!! Best
