Do you have experience leading a 3-5 person crew? Do you enjoy working outdoors in a landscaping environment? Do you have knowledge of native plants and weed species? We have an excellent opportunity for a Landscaping Lead! JOB SUMMARY Provide leadership to landscape construction, restoration, and maintenance of native habitats and drought-tolerant landscapes. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES Monitor crew work assignments Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work Removal of unwanted plant material (weed removal) Assistance with grading and leveling soil Digging and compaction of irrigation trenches Assistance with the installation of irrigation systems Planting of trees and shrubs (seeds, cutting, container stock) Assistance with installing fencing REQUIREMENTS Perform manual work Planting techniques Safe use of hand tools The proper method of operating motorized equipment. Irrigation repair and troubleshooting Ability to report project and crew issues to the Senior Lead or Supervisor in a timely matter Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner Maintain a safe work environment for all employees Planning and organizational skills Follow oral and written instructions Please call 310-974-3400 for more info or apply today!
