I'm writing to those of you looking for pets on CL to be very careful of scams. I have been looking for a Bengal kitten for the last couple of weeks and am constantly running into people asking for a deposit upfront without even seeing the pet. Or people with some long story of how they moved and their new place doesn't allow animals. Or people from out of state that will even give you a pet all you have to do is pay for shipping. Be careful out there!
