Hi folks! My name is Gege! And I am a white queer agender (using no pronouns) pianist. I have been active in dismantling my own positionality and the ways I hold power-over, while organizing with other queer/trans folks for radical abolitionist liberation. About my music experience - I have been playing music since I was 7. Classically trained on the piano, I have since branched out to keys, and organ and synths and other piano-like-instruments, playing genres like jazz, experimental noise/avant-garde, hip-hop, turntablism, funk, pop-rock, alt country et cetera. Cello has been the instrument that resonates and vibrates in preternatural ways for me. There is something intrinsically and viscerally profound about the cello, that seems infinitudinous. For me it captures, life and death in a single note, it cries out to the melancholy and lachrymose body, it reverberates ecological cosmologies, defying the "hum-n" experience. I would love to be able to collaborate with someone coming up with loops, blips, songs, compositions, et cetera, through instrument and voice with the ability for collaboration with other artists (musical and beyond).
