PAID Study: Heart Attacks

Design Science is seeking individuals 18 years old and up, who: - have experienced a heart attack (myocardial infarction) in the last 6 months to 5 years - OR who care for someone who has had a heart attack in that time frame. Participants will provide feedback on the ease of use and design of a treatment device that will be used to treat individuals suffering from a suspected acute myocardial infarction (heart attack). Participants will attend a 45 minute session, followed by a 1 hour session the following week. Both sessions will take place in January in Philadelphia, PA (validated parking is available). Participants will be compensated $225 after completing the second session. Please note that, although you will be interacting with a medical device, you will NOT administer any medication to yourself or another person. The device will contain a placebo solution and you will only simulate its use. If you are interested in participating, please sign up here () for more information. Please note, we are following Covid-19 social distancing guidelines at our office, including maintaining 6’ distance, mask wearing, sanitization, and more. Space is limited, subject to availability.
