Description
I could rattle off a bunch of big names in rock, punk or new wave singers but I'm not looking for sound alike types.
Every one of the top rock singers brought style and a vision to the table. Having a great voice isn't enough in most instances in this business.
What the big time guys have in common is the ability to merge with the context or vibe of the song and deliver something unique and interesting beyond the notes.
Fa la la type singing isn't going to cut it. Put some emotional emphasis into the lyrics with a cool factor. Push the notes and have some vocal power when needed and sublety when it's called for.
Deliver the hook and be in command of the song.
Be a creative chameleon and have a wide range of influences.
Be prepared to enhance or create an idiom from the ground up based on what the music is conveying.
We don't expect instant perfection when you're developing your vocal parts. It takes trial and error and some thought and reworking and tweaking to get things moving in the right direction. Every song is like a mini project. It's hard work in its own way. Sometimes it's agonizing. But we'll get it done and move onto the next one.
We're gearing up to lay down some tracks and get gigging in 2022.
Send a demo of some sort.
Thanks.
