Free Community Display of Christmas Trees. Lights on Main is a display of live Christmas trees in Downtown Louisville located in the Resurfaced lot at 615 W. Main St. An anticipated 60 trees will be decorated for the holiday season, intended to promote community and attract patrons to the downtown business district. Each tree is sponsored and decorated by a local corporation, group, family, or individual. Do I have to pay to attend Lights on Main? No, this is a FREE community event. Trees will be on display from November 26th - December 12th. Food trucks, photo ops, letters to the North Pole, pictures with Santa, and a hot cocoa bar will be available every Saturday (11/27, 12/4, and 12/11. What are the hours of the Lights on Main? Monday and Tuesday: Closed Wednesday & Thursday: 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday, & Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 Vote for your favorite tree to help your favorite businesses win the "Fan Favorite" award. Other awards to look for include Most Unique, Most Festive, Most Lou Spirit, Best Company Branding, and Most Unique. I Would Rather Be Reading is a local non-profit that provides literacy & social emotional supports to children from underserved populations.
