Candlelight tours of Drayton Hall this holiday season
Create a very special holiday memory this year in Charleston. Take a candlelight tour of Charleston, SC’s Drayton Hall, ca. 1738. Beautiful and moving, this eighteenth century house is the oldest untouched home open to the public in the United States. This year for the first time, Drayton Hall will be open for public tours in the evening during the 2020 holiday season.
Experience Drayton Hall at night this holiday season with our special candlelight tours. This is a remarkable way to understand the house and lives which touched it from the perspective of a non-modernized colonial home. After your tour, we invite you to enjoy a warm cup of spiced cider as you stroll back toward the Visitors Center and visit The Shop at Drayton Hall.
Tours are offered Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings during December, 2020 (December 3, 4, 5/ December 10, 11, 12/ December 17, 18, 19) between 6 pm and 7 pm. Entrance gates open at 5:30pm. Upon arrival, you will be given a first come first serve tour start time. Groups of 6 or less will enter the house every 10 minutes.
