Description

The Rengstorff House is Mountain View's oldest home and one of the finest examples of Victorian Italianate architecture on the West Coast. Fully restored in 1991, the Rengstorff House features: a Victorian Italianate design with a hip roof; a central gable crowned by a widow's walk; a front portico; and a symmetrical room layout. Interior tours feature the story of the family that originally lived in the home, early Mountain View history, Bradbury & Bradbury wallpapers, historic fixtures/furnishings, the story of the house's restoration, and more. Docent-led tours are offered in accordance with current public health guidelines, and require onsite registration for purposes of contract tracing precautions. Join us for historic home tours at any time during the open tour times. The last tour generally occurs 30 minutes before closing. Tours subject to docent availability. If this tour is canceled, those who pre-register will be notified 24 hours in advance.
