Gentle Giant for a new home

Description

Good morning, it is with a heavy heart that my Wife and I have made the decision to re-home one of our pets. With multiple life changing events including a newborn this particular pet is no longer compatible with us although we do love and care for him. His name is Socks, though he often pretends he doesn't know his name, and he's about a 5 year old "Blue Nose Pitbull". He's approximately 80-90lb and doesn't know how big he is as he likes to lay on your lap or chest and sleep the day away. Socks is truly a gentle giant when it comes to people and he's never once once shown anything other than love for people including our newborn. Socks also is good friends with our cat, who's about 1 year old. They often harass each other in between naps. It's important that we be honest about his needs as this isn't fair to him at it is. Socks does have some food aggression with other dogs. He will eat from the bowl from a person without issue, but for example we have another dog and they must eat separately in their kennels or he will become very aggressive and defensive of the food. Socks doesn't get out much, but when he does he doesn't get along with other dogs, and occasionally he tries to get out from our fenced in yard by digging so he's kept on a lead now for his own safety. Last time he escaped I found him 3 houses down eating mangos. Socks gets along very well with his sibling (our other dog) though based on having had him for a while we would encourage him to go to a 1 dog family. As a medical note, Socks is allergic to fleas. * Good with kids * Loves snuggle and naps * Will come with XL crate (kennel) * Low maintenance low stress * Potty trained He would be no good for anyone who wants to breed or fight him, he's neutered. We are asking a $50 rehoming fee to help protect his own interest. Text is best. 239-3two1-09two7
