Join us for the screening of A Thousand Cuts followed by a discussion with Journalist Maria Ressa, RECIPIENT OF THE 2021 NOBEL PEACE PRIZE. Nowhere is the worldwide erosion of democracy, fueled by social media disinformation campaigns, more starkly evident than in the authoritarian regime of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. Journalist Maria Ressa, Recipient of the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize places the tools of the free press—and her freedom—on the line in defense of truth and democracy. Produced, written and directed by Ramona S. Diaz (IMELDA, MOTHERLAND). Doors will open at 6:00 pm, Film begins at 6:30 pm Proof of vaccination will be required for entry and masks must be worn at all times. Presented by Mother Brook Arts and Community Center, Princeton Alumni of New England and Rise Documentary Films.
