Press release from the Athens-Clarke County Government: November 9, 2021 The Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department will suspend compost,  garbage, recycling, and leaf & limb collections on Thursday, November 25th, 2021 in recognition of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday. If you have residential service & commercial service with us outside of downtown district your collection schedule will be as follows. Monday will be collected on Monday. Tuesday will be collected on Tuesday. Wednesday will be collected on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be collected on Friday. We will resume our normal pickup schedule on Monday, November 29th, 2021. Please make sure your trash and recycling roll-carts are out on the curb by 7:00 AM on your service pick up day. If you have commercial or residential service with us and are located within the Downtown District your service will be picked on the regular schedule.  This press release was produced by the Athens-Clarke County Government.
