Join the Ironborough family for a fun-filled Friday night of weightlifting, food, and brews. As we prepare for Thanksgiving, what better way to celebrate than to show thanks, give back to the community, and ... test snatch and clean and jerk!?  Join the Ironborough family for a fun-filled Friday night of weightlifting, food, and brews.  Participation in the mock weightlifting meet is free and open to individuals of all ages and abilities.  Donations are welcome and will be given to ________.  Pre-registration is required by Wednesday 11/17/21. On Friday, November 19, Ironborough will hold its first annual "THANKS AND WEIGHTS Weightlifting Meet".  This weightlifting meet will follow a similar format as an official USA Weightlifting Meet, but will be modified to accommodate our community.  Each participant will have 3 attempts to test their max snatch and and 3 attempts to test their max clean and jerk (after a proper warm up period and sub-max weights).  Athletes of all ages, abilities, and experience are welcome to participate!  Pre-registration is required by Wednesday 11/17/21 so we can organize athletes accordingly.  Sessions will be grouped by gender, not by weight class.  Participation is free, but donations will be accepted and presented to _______ in the spirit of Thanksgiving. 5:30 - 6:00 Check in (Please provide your opening attempts at Check in)6:00 - 6:30 Warm Ups 6:30 - 7:00 Women's Snatch7:00 - 7:30 Men's Snatch7:30 - 8:00 Women's Clean & Jerk8:00 - 8:30 Men's Clean & Jerk****Times will be dependent based on # of registrants Athletes will be arranged in order of their declared opening attempts from lightest to heaviest, and will lift one at a time in that order.  When it is an athlete's turn, they will have one minute to attempt their weight.  Once the athlete completes their first lift, they will then declare their weight for their second lift at the scorer's table (if the first lift is a miss, they may stay at the same weight).  After all athletes' first attempts, the list will be re-arranged based on their declared second attempt weights, from lightest to heaviest.  Again, all athletes will complete their second lifts and declare their third lifts.  The process will repeat for the third attempts.More information will be sent to registrants prior to the event (e.g. tips about warming up for a weightlifting meet, deciding on how much weight to declare for attempts, etc.).  Coach Jillian will also be available at the meet to assist! There will be two winners. Winners will be determined by most weight lifted for male and female weightlifters.  When: Friday November 19th, 2021 6:00pm-8:30pmWhere: Ironborough Community Strength & Conditioning4110 Butler Pike, Suite B102 Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462(610) 304 [email protected]: Participation in the mock weightlifting meet is free and open to individuals of all ages and abilities.  Donations are welcome and will be given to ________.
