Students Hold Veterans Day Flag Fundraiser

MERRICK, NY — One school is commemorating Veterans Day with a fundraiser. Student Council members at Birch Elementary School are selling flags within the school. Flags were placed in the garden at the front of the school in honor of veterans students know. Money raised will get donated to a worthy cause later in the year, the Merrick Union Free School District said in a statement.
