NORTH HAVEN, CT — Emergency crews are on-scene near the 100 block of Elm Street, where a gas leak has been reported, the North Haven police reported on their Twitter and Facebook pages at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. North Haven Fire Chief Paul Januszewski told the New Haven Register that Southern Connecticut Gas Co. was working on a pipeline on Elm Street when a high-pressure gas leak took place, spreading a gas smell around the area.
