WESTFIELD, NJ — In Mayor Shelley Brindle's latest message to the town, she updated residents on the ongoing legal dispute between the town and the Westfield Senior Housing Center. Brindle said the dispute is still going on and residents should reach out to the town if they have questions. She reiterated that residents of the affordable housing units will not be displaced or have rent affected. The town is in a legal dispute with the two affordable housing senior buildings in town over $2 million. "In order to share critical information and facts with WSHC residents and their families, we are collecting their contact information to keep them informed. If you are a resident or family member of someone who is, and would like to be added to the list, please send your name, contact details, and WSHC building number to [email protected] to receive future correspondence and updates," Brindle said.
