Press release from the City of Irving: November 10, 2021 Irving residents will have the opportunity to dispose of household waste and other acceptable items at no cost at the Hunter Ferrell Landfill, 110 E. Hunter Ferrell Road, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Nov. 12-13. This event is for Irving residents only. Proof of residency, such as a driver's license or current water bill, is required upon entry. Residents must be hauling material themselves to the landfill. Contractors performing work for Irving residents will be charged the regular landfill disposal fees. Prohibited Items Any waste that is considered hazardous, such as gasoline, household cleaners, pool chemicals, or is unidentifiable or questionable cannot be disposed of at the landfill. For a more detailed list of prohibited items and waste that requires special handling, visit the Hunter Ferrell Landfill page. Additionally, residents also can participate in the department's Household Document Shredding & Electronics Recycling event 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 12 located at the Las Colinas Service Center, 5964 Riverside Drive.
