Press release from the Contra Costa County MEDS Coalition: The mission of the Contra Costa County MEDS Coalition is to prevent prescription drug and opioid related substance use disorder (aka addiction), overdose deaths, crime and other downstream impacts through community education and engagement, policy change and advocacy. Our substance use prevention campaign, "Life's Too Good To Be Wasted". Middle and high school youth are our target audience. Our fourth contest associated with this campaign launched 11/1/21 and will run through 12/31/21. Winners will be announced on 2/3/22. Youth who live or attend school in Contra Costa County are eligible to submit photos of their videos and original art or Instagram graphics that share what's good in their lives that helps them stay substance free. 1st place prizes will be awarded to both middle and high school students for each submission category for a total of six prizes.
