Symposium exploring the massive impact of the Integrated Humanities Program at the University of Kansas in the 70s. In the early 70s, professors John Senior, Frank Nelick and Dennis Quinn formed the immensely influential Integrated Humanities Program (IHP) at the KU. It was responsible for the conversion of scores of young men and women who were introduced by the professors to the Good, the True and the Beautiful in the great books of Western Civilization. 50 years later, the legacy of the IHP quietly and steadily grows with Benedictine Abbeys such as Clearcreek in Oklahoma and schools like Gregory the Great in Pennsylvania and St. Martin's Academy in Kansas. Why was this program so powerful? Who were these professors? And how is their poetic vision of reality inspiring some of the most important work in the restoration of Christian culture today?
