Supervisory Responsibilities: • Oversees the daily workflow, shift assignments, and staffing of the forklifts. Duties/Responsibilities: • Reviews daily production schedules to forecast forklift truck operator needs. • Prepares and distributes operator assignments based on daily production schedules. • Coordinates with manager in the shipping and receiving department to provide additional, timely forklift operation services. • Routinely observes forklift operation throughout facility for safety and adherence to performance standards. • Schedules and/or arranges for maintenance and repair of forklift trucks. • Performs other related duties as required. Required Skills/Abilities: • Strong supervisory and leadership skills. • Excellent verbal communication skills. • Thorough understanding of forklift truck operations, procedures, and policies. • Able to adapt to changing schedules as needed. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school training preferred. • Experience as a forklift truck driver with a clean operation record required.
