Press release from the Alameda County District Attorney's Office: Nov 8, 2021 Beware of Scammers Impersonating PG&E Representatives PG&E is warning customers about a rise in imposter scams. Imposters claiming to be from PG&E may contact customers via call, text, email, or in-person and demand immediate payment to avoid service disconnection. Imposters may tell the customer that their bill is past due and their service will be shut off within an hour if payment is not made. Calls from imposters may display PG&E on caller ID.
