MAPLE GROVE, MN — Two local veterans organizations are set to host a Veterans Day ceremony Thursday in Maple Grove to honor all who have served in the U.S. armed forces. The Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion Post 172 and Maple Grove Beyond the Yellow Ribbon are partnering to put on a short ceremony, which is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Veterans Memorial in Maple Grove's Central Park. The Maple Grove Veterans Memorial opened in July 2019 after several years of planning by the Maple Grove Beyond the Yellow Ribbon organization.
