Please join us to celebrate the Recognition of the National Purple Heart City for Danville California on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 1:00 pm.

On Thursday, November 11, 2021, Danville will be designated a Purple Heart City by the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 78. The Purple Heart City dedication exemplifies Danville's gratitude to the members of the armed forces wounded or killed in active combat.
The Purple Heart is a U.S. military decoration and the nation's oldest military medal. It is awarded in the name of the President to those wounded or killed while serving, on or after April 5, 1917, with the U.S. military.
