MOUNT CLEMENS, MI — Macomb County prosecutors charged a fifth person in an armed robbery and carjacking spree that began Nov. 2 in Sterling Heights.
"This was a violent, armed, coordinated attack," Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said. "My office has now charged this fifth defendant with multiple felonies, including two that carry a maximum of life in prison."
The men robbed the owner of a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat at gunpoint in Sterling Heights and then led police in a high-speed car chase, police said. Speeds topped 100 mph.

Police officers from Sterling Heights, Warren and Michigan State Police all chased the suspects.
