Job description Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of young children? Hyer Street Preschool is looking for a patient and compassionate childcare teacher who has experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. The HSP teacher will help lead developmentally appropriate activities that encourage healthy physical, social, and emotional development for students. Responsibilities: • Assist teachers in creating age-appropriate lessons • Foster a classroom environment of safety and respect • Perform daily cleaning routines to keep facilities sanitary and safe • Prepare and serve snacks and meals throughout the day • Keep parents and families updated on their students’ daily activities and progress Requirements: • High school diploma/GED • 1+ years of experience working in Child Development or a related field • Ability to work creatively and flexibly Preferred Qualifications: • Completed DCF required 45 hrs. • CPR and First Aid Certification • CDA or Staff credential • Experience working in a play-based environment • Bilingual in Spanish or French Why you’ll love working at Hyer Street Preschool: At HSP, our mission is to develop a community of confident students who love to learn.
