DEARBORN, MI — The man wanted for connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash in Dearborn that killed a 6-year-old girl turned himself in to Dearborn Police Wednesday, police said. Jyon Collins, 18, who police named as a person-of-interest voluntarily surrender to officials Wednesday afternoon, police said. As of Wednesday, Collins has not been charged with any crime while the investigation continues, police said. Live in Dearborn? "With the subject in custody it's important to note that this investigation is active and ongoing," Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. "You will be kept updated when appropriate." A silver or white Chevrolet Equinox hit the young girl on the 7600 block of Bingham at 2:50 p.m. Sunday. The driver didn't stop, police said. The girl was rushed to Children's Hospital with severe injuries and later died, police said.
