Press release from the City of Phoenix: November 10, 2021 8:30 AM ​City of Phoenix offices will be closed Thursday, November 11 in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. Here's how city services are affected: Solid Waste: Trash and recycling will be collected as usual. There will be no change in collection day. Please place your trash and recycling containers 4 feet apart at the curb by 5:30 a.m. Transfer Stations: The 27th Avenue and North Gateway Transfer Stations will be closed. Public Transit: Bus and light rail are operating on a regular weekday service schedule. Masks are federally mandated on all public transit. No RAPID or Express bus service.
