Car Fire Slows Traffic On Old Leeds Road

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A car caught on fire on Old Leeds Road in Irondale Monday morning. The car was stopped in the middle of the road near Highlands School just before 8 a.m. Motorists turned around if they were in a position to do so, while others are still stuck in the line of traffic in each direction. Both the driver and the passenger of the car were able to get out of the car safely and no injuries were reported.
