Austin Parts and Service is in Akron Oh. They have been in business since 1925. Bob Austin, founder of the company was a great man who cared for the community and his employees. When he passed away he gave his company to his employees. In April of 2000, an ambitious entrepreneur purchased the company named Joe Hickin. All was going well, then in 2006 the company suffered a devastating fire. They lost almost everything, but Joe wasn't going to give up. He literally rebuilt the company from the ground up. With the help of his family and a couple of employees Austin Parts and service is a strong growing company. In 2015, they built a new building, and are growing every day trying to expand their inventory and services. We are looking for an experienced mechanic to join our team. We have a 3 bay shop set up for semis and trailers. We have 3 full time mechanics on staff now and are looking to add 1 more experienced mechanic. Most of our work is done in shop, but we do have some customers that we service at their work site. We don't do anything on the side of the road. Just on site for some customers. We are especially looking for a mechanic that would like to use our service truck and go to other sites. In the summer we have multiple companies that want us to come out at night and looking for a mechanic that doesn't mind working a few nights a week during the summer. We do pay overtime for anything over 40 hours. We do work some Saturdays but never Sunday. We specialize in A/C work on trucks and off road equipment. So experience in A/C would be a huge plus.
