Diaspora Showcase AFRICA presents "Kora and Guitar". An entertaining evening of high fashion, music, dance performanc and food from Africa Diaspora Showcase AFRICA presents "Kora and String". An exclusive evening of high fashion, music, and dance performance, featuring Elton John's legendary guitarist Caleb Quaye, bassist Fernando Perdomo from "Echo In The Canyon" movie, classical guitarist Gabriel Ayala, Kora strings instrumentalist Arouna Diarra from Burkinafaso and Karamo Susso from Mali. African high fashion will also take center stage spotlighting award winning designers, Kwame Koranteng (Ghana), Else Hardjopawiro (Suriname), Maria K. Adeeko (Nigeria), Dikenga (USA), Pela (Trinidad) and Dorcas Muzumara (Zambia). The evening opens with an assortment of African cuisines, the Jazz band of Glendon Gross, and a combination of the beats of African Djembe drums, Ganagan drums, Calabash and Tin drums by Elijah Ndoye from Senegal, Yacouba Traore from Burkina Faso and Lassina from Ivory Coast.
