The Project/Idea: I was feeling nostalgic and started listening to all the music from my formative years (I'm 40, finished high school in 1999.) And I thought to myself, on my daily trek up and down the 405, there have got to be a bunch of people just like me who are listening to STP and Greenday and Blink and 311 and RHCP and Weezer and all the old KROQ hits still. And how cool would it be to have a band that just "plays the hits." Book some shows, get the nostalgia going, and get all of the people in their late 30s and early 40s to get babysitters and head out to a dive to sing along to the classics? Have some fun, which if you're like me, fun is F*CKING LACKING!! Nothing super serious. Nothing to go make some money. Just for fun, and if some cool original music comes out of it, that's gravy. A true weekend warrior project. So I'm looking for vocals, bass, guitars, keys, horns, anyone that has some chops and wants to get in on this. I play guitar, can play bass, can sing a bit. Have enough gear to replicate the variety of tones needed to go between these kind of artists, and then some. Preferably looking for folks on the same page as me... People with full time jobs, families, maybe musically rusty, who just want to jam a bit and have a good time.
