Woodinville Montessori School is seeking a responsible Facilities Coordinator to join our team. They will be responsible for daily maintenance operation of Woodinville Montessori School Properties. Under general supervision, they will assist the Director of Facilities with a variety of duties, including campus maintenance, outdoor landscaping, security and opening and closing of the buildings. This full-time position, with the hours of 9:00am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday, starts in October 2021 at our Bothell campus. Position Summary: Performs general maintenance and minor repairs for the campus including, but not limited to, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems, buildings, office furniture and other equipment. Assists in ensuring a clean, safe, attractive and healthy campus for students, faculty, staff and visitors by performing general custodial duties, painting, following safety standards and procedures, assisting with traffic and parking needs, securing the building and grounds and assessing and correcting unclean or unsafe environments. Required Skills/Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Minimum of 1-2 years of increasingly responsible building services/maintenance experience including knowledge of the operation, maintenance and adjustment of mechanical systems, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems. Ability to effectively read and interpret product specifications, manuals and directions. Ability to prepare and maintain accurate maintenance records and reports. Working knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment in custodial services. Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices. Knowledge of use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and appliances. Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Given the nature of the work, there may be times where pushing/pulling, working from heights and lifting is required. Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Able to work from ladders and scaffolding, as needed. Must be able to walk or stand for prolonged periods of time and bend, crouch and maneuver body in tight, cramped quarters. Able to climb stairs and walk on uneven terrain. Able to work in an uncontrolled environment for extended periods of time (cold, heat, rain, snow). Special Requirements: Subject to a criminal background check prior to employment. Clean driver abstract record (no traffic citations in the last 5 years). Fully vaccinated for COVID-19. May be required to work beyond normally scheduled hours with little or no advanced notice.
