RiverFest is our annual event which brings together exhibitors, paddlers, and the general public to learn about the river and have fun.
The Friends of the Mahoning River are holding the 9th Annual RiverFest on the banks of the Mahoning River in Spring Commons Park. This park is between the Historic B & O Station and the Mahoning River at 530 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown. This event is being held on tentatively June 6, 2021, from Noon to 5:30 P.M. We offer free parking and admission.
This is a ZERO WASTE event, so please bring your own water bottle. Everyone who brings their own water bottle will receive a ticket for a prize drawing.
Celebrate the Mahoning River by enjoying a free canoe or kayak ride with the Trumbull Canoe Trails. There will be environmental, educational and historical presentations about the Mahoning Valley relating to the River. See the Raptors of Birds in Flight Sanctuary and learn about search and rescue from the trainers of the K-9 rescue dogs. Join Jungle Terry with small mammals and reptiles from 1 to 2 PM.See dancers from Ballet Western Reserve at 12 PM.Hear the music of Leather & Lace from 3 to 5 PM
