What would ultimately become the Dane County Regional Airport began a century ago, receiving its first cabin airplane in 1927. The airport has come a long way since that five-seat passenger plane, expanding to service 1.9 million passengers annually, provide approximately 4,000 jobs, and generate an economic impact of more than $600 million each year. The airport continues to propel itself into the future breaking ground on a 90,000-square-foot-addition that will pave way for more flights and more passengers.
