3 People Needed: Help Disconnect/Reconnect Auto Show Vehicle Batteries
Jobs
501 South College Street near East Stonewall, Charlotte NC
Description
We are in need of three people who can come into the Charlotte Auto Show on set-up day, Wednesday, November 17th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and assist us with disconnecting Auto Show vehicles that will be on display during the 2021 Charlotte Auto Show. You must have general knowledge of the battery systems in most vehicles. We will be disconnecting the batteries and putting 45 to 50 vehicles on inverters that will let the accessories continue to function. On Sunday, November 21st, we will need the same crew to return at 5:00 p.m. to reconnect all batteries so these vehicles can be removed from the Charlotte Convention Center. All vehicles must be removed by 8 p.m., so we need people who can work fast and also with the utmost concerns for working safely. Pay is $12.00 an hour. If you have your own rubber handled tools (adjustable wrench, pliers and/or socket set), we encourage you to bring them though we will have some tools readily available. Pay is done thru CashApp, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle or Deluxe eChecks. If permitted by Convention Center officials, we may also be able to pay you cash at the end of the assignment on Sunday. This work assignment will be on the Ground Floor of the Charlotte Convention Center, located at 501 South College Street, Charlotte, NC 28202. Please text Chris Smith at (727) 947-2696 if you are available to work. Please include any information on your knowledge of working with automotive batteries. You will need to include your full name, cell phone number with area code and email address. It is very helpful if you also include a single head and shoulders photo of you alone so we know who we will be working with on Wednesday and Sunday. Your text message to Chris Smith should also state "Hello, I'm ____________ (fill in your name) and I would like to help disconnect and reconnect automotive batteries at the 2021 Charlotte Auto Show. I understand this requires me to work from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17th and from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 21st at which point I will be paid in full for my work at $12.00 an hour."
