Description
Hi,
I'm looking to collab with a woodworker, possibly metalworker with the knack for turning concepts to reality. Things like furniture refinishing or repurposing, and simple to moderately difficult crafts. I will need some patience on your part, as I am new to this world and expect this will be an evolving project.
Basically I would bring you a blueprint/vision, and it would help to have a good head for planning materials and process upfront (you will need X tool, it will take X long, here are potential complications etc.). At the start, the goal would just be to create prototypes and scale the process gradually
While my crafts knowledge doesn't go beyond the very basic, I can also assist when an extra body is needed.
Ideal
1.) Has at least 15-20 hours a week to devote to this
2.) Has an indoor workspace and the most common mechanical and power tools for most applications
3.) An easygoing person, who can be a stubborn SOB in the workshop
Bonus if
3.) Some capacity for limited paid storage onsite (Not contained area ~10X10)
4.) Some way or ideas to access free or cheap salvage materials
5.) Pickup or box truck for the occasional item I can't haul.
It will be a pretty straight up pay for services to start with the potential to become more of a partnership given time.
Please get in touch with any thoughts or questions. Thank you!
