Description
Meet your new social circle while learning how to make a few fermented veggies & delicious jicama street tacos. Wondering why fermented foods are so trendy right now? Have you been curious about the health benefits and how delicious these foods can actually taste? Join us to learn the simple techniques you can use at home, all while meeting new friends! Dr. Regina Lewis and her sister, Michele Thompson, will be teaching the class how to make cucumber kimchi, fermented dill green beans, kale salad, and jicama street tacos. What to expect: Each class is based around teambuilding activities that get you learning something and having quality conversations with fun new people. You don’t need to be an expert chef because the recipes are for any skill level and can be recreated at home with basic tools. At the end of the event, everyone will sit down and eat together. Want to come by yourself? Please do! The intention of this class is for everyone to interact in larger groups and with new people so you'll be paired up with people that share common interests. All teams are pre-assigned intentionally based upon your form answers. Don't worry about running out of things to say; there will be conversation starters available to get the discussion flowing! Join other professionals in their 40’s – 60’s who are ready to find a new social circle of friends. Colorado Springs has a lot to offer – why not meet people who want to enjoy it with you? “The class I attended was the Whiskey and Charcuterie Board making class. The presenter was fabulous and informative. [Having] the table of 4 people worked out wonderfully. We each contributed something different to our board creation and design. I made new friends and we had a fantastic time together. I will definitely attend more classes!” - Michelle Mras, Colorado Springs Class size limited to 12 people. RSVP is required. No walk-ins.
